On today’s Tangle Time sessions, we are premiering another wonderful tangle by Sandy Vaughan AKA The Irish Tangler.
Introducing Chygerr! Here is the story from Sandy:
“So this one is called Chygerr. I saw a tiktok video of a chubby tiger, and tigers are one of my favourite animals. Well, this big chubby tiger must have stuck in my mind because one day I found myself drawing a stripey pattern over and over on a blank page and then filling the stripes with various tangles. At first they were straight, but then I found myself curving the stripes, drawing them in different directions, and graduating the sizes and then liking that so much more. The five curved stripes also reminds me of a tiger’s sharp claws. Why I call it chygerr is because it’s an amalgamation of the two words chubby + tiger!
When you post your work, make sure to use #chygerr and tag Sandy. If you are on Instagram, make sure to follow @theirishtangler while you are there!
