Today’s Inktober prompt is: No Mistakes.

No Mistakes is the No . 1 philosophy in Zentangle. That’s probably why it’s the first Bijouism. I share this today, because it’s probably the most difficult part of Zentangle – getting used to the idea that there is no wrong and just to keep going and see where your pen will take you. Hear it from Bijou: “At least not in creating Zentangle Art there aren’t. I read that a mistake is “an action or judgment that is misguided or wrong.” When I make a deliberate mark, how can it be wrong? How can it be misguided? It might reveal a new pattern or a new discovery, but I would never call it a “mistake”.”
My hope is that you will push your brain one step further – to your next level. It could be something like, just not throwing a way a tile you don’t like. Just put it aside and maybe come back to it late. That would be a good first step. It’s not necessarily easy, but definitely worth it.

Some tanglers like to challenge themselves to do a tangle a day and collect them by the month. There are many ways to do this. If you would like to create one large piece from this monthly collection, HERE are some neat template ideas. You can probably enlarge them and print them OR trace them, OR maybe it sparks another idea!
