On this week’s Tangle Time and in our paid class, Secret Garden, we Premiered Dot Ball by CZT Barbara Duel Johnson.
Here is what Barbara wrote to me about this tangle: “Attached is probably the easiest tangle ever drawn, LOL. It is my tangle, “DotBall”. I first started drawing this many, many years ago, as a teenager. I love to put background tangles in tiles, to fill up airspace. I remembered “DotBall”, and thought it was perfect. I started using it in everything – background tangles, in grids, borders, as snowflakes, as stars in the sky, as fireworks, with lace designs, garden type motifs, etc. You can make it large, or tiny. The key to “DotBall” is the spacing of the dots around the ball, so to speak. The easiest way to do it is to make the dot in the center, then put one at 12 and at 6, and then fill in with 2 ,4, 8, and 10. Sometimes I shade and smudge around it for more drama.”
Just look at these beautiful samples!

Here is Barbara’s step-out:

Enjoy!!
Happy Tangling!!
