On today’s Tangle Time sessions, we premiered another wonderful tangle by Debbi Minero, Hybizcuz.
Debbi said that she created this to go with another that she was working on. The question Debbi had for me, and one that I have had for a while and will be getting an answer to soon, is if the her Tee-Kee Tangle is actually a tangle. I’m sharing it here because we may just create a category of “How to draw…” to fit these that we are not too sure about, but want to have fun with just the same.
From Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas, founders of Zentangle®, in their book, “The Book of Zentangle®” define a tangle as “a pattern that has been deconstructed so you can recreate it by drawing simple strokes in a certain order”. They also talk about it being “non-representational and abstract so that we don’t get caught in a self-critical loop”.
Just as we use graphite in Zentangle to create amazing shades of gray that transform our tangling – there are a lot of tangles, even from Zentangle that add shades of gray to our Tangle library. Enjoy!!
First things first, here Debbi’s step-out for Hybizcuz. So cute and easy!!
Here is her step-out for Tee-Kee and her work with both Tee-Kee and Hybizcuz. So cute and well done!!
Have fun with these and when you post, please add in #tee-kee and #hybizcuz (and #tangleaddicts if you don’t mind.) Thank you Debbi for adding so much to our tangle library and experience!
