“This ain’t your Grandma’s Doily” | 1-28-2025 TangleAddicts Class Recap

The first time I saw a picture of someone’s Doily or Lace tangle work, I knew we had to create a class in it. While you could use just about any tangle for this technique, there are some tangles that were inspired by lace or doilies and we include them in the accompanying pdf booklet.

The replays of these sessions are available to Tangle Addicts Club members and those that paid for the class individually. Click HERE if you would like to purchase the class replays or contact me (Heather@tangleaddicts.com). A note about my class replays. They are done with very little editing. Each class allows for everyone to do what they want, or follow along with what I’m doing, or what Mom is doing. You can see this in the results below. We share ideas and techniques as we go, and you never know when an amazing idea will present itself. That is the brilliance of Zentangle®

Thanks to everyone that sent pictures in or posted on the Tangle Addicts Community Facebook group!! It’s nice to see the work up close. TRULY, TRULY, AMAZING work!!! Click on any picture to enlarge (or to see the picture without the haze automatically created when I put the name in). If I missed including your work, let me know or send it to me and I’ll add it!

AM & PM Screenshots:

Thanks to everyone that joined in on the fun!!! I know a lot of us didn’t complete ours. I will keep adding as I see or receive pictures. AND, because this was the day after Christmas, a number of people were not available and planned to watch the replays. Same thing… I will add pictures as I receive them, check back by clicking the title of the blog so you see it from the site.

Happy Tangling!!!!

TranZending | 1-14-2025 TangleAddicts Class Recap

When a tile or work doesn’t make you happy, NEVER, EVER toss it in the trash. Make a TranZend pile for it instead, and then use this amazing TranZending technique on them. The basic concept is to draw over existing work with contrasting pen/pen size and tangle. Of course we add in the #dowhatyouwant.

Please enjoy the AMAZING transformations below!! It’s amazing to see the before pictures (when we remember to take them.)

The replays of these sessions are available to Tangle Addicts Club members and those that paid for the class individually. Click HERE if you would like to purchase the class replays or contact me (Heather@tangleaddicts.com). This concept was started from a video that Zentangle® co-founders, Rick and Maria did. HERE is the link.

Tangled New Year’s Eve, 2024! | Recap

This year, because New Year’s Eve, 2024, landed on a Tuesday, instead of having Zentangle Essentials as I normally would have, I thought to take advantage of the calendar and have a New Year’s Eve Party AND as a thank you to open it up to everyone who is part of the greater community.

As usual, HAHAHA! No one, except me knew what was in store. Well, everyone knew they would have fun! Inspired by the New Year Ball drop, it was the theme for this free-for-all, meaning everyone decided what they wanted to do and how they wanted to do it. Personally, I LOVE instigating and empowering my tangle family to see what they will do! I did provide tangles in categories to help with the process. Click HERE to get the booklet.

Enjoy the close ups below! They are all so amazing!!! Click on any picture to enlarge or see the entire work. (I will keep adding as I receive or see them posted. Check back by clicking the title of the blog to see the most current version.)

If you haven’t yet attended a Tangle Time Session, first – we’d love to have you join (It’s free)! Second, our purpose is to explore a tangle or two. SteamPunkapolooza! | 7-23-2024 TangleAddicts Class Recap

YAY, More fun!! As our friend, Jen, says on all of our sessions. On these sessions we played with the genre of SteamPunk. What is SteamPunk? It’s a mashup of futuristic AND retro. It’s inspired by fashions of the Victoria Era in England (1837-1901, The Belle Epoque in France (1871-1914) and the Civil War era in the United States (1861-1865). Also inspired by the works of H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, and more. Think of the Nautilus in 20,000 Leagues under the sea. The first known use of the term steampunk is attributed to author Kevin Jeter in his 1987 letter to Locus Magazine. The rest of this story and more is at this link.
