O2T | 3/12/26 TangleTime Recap

It was a red carpet event on these 3/12/26 TangleTime sessions. O2T (Ode to Thom) by Sharon Pattillo, was introduced to the world. We honored our friend and fellow TangleAddict, Thom. It was nice that Carla was able to join us at the end of the PM special. It was heartbreaking to see the empty chair beside her. (Note: This is a replay of the live event. It is not edited.)

This is Thom.

Chop Shop | 10-14-2025 TangleAddicts Class Recap

We were so excited to put together this class! It’s one of the top items people ask for help with after the question, “What is a chop?” A chop is a symbol that marks your work, like your initials or signature.

This class was inspired by the requests for help with creating chops AND CZT Alyssa “Aly” Herget’s book, “Tangle Explorations“. She has a nice chapter on creating chops, however as we talked about doing this class, she created seven additional pages of content to further help. Aly has graciously made this available to those that are taking this class.

Thank you Aly for all of your work on this and leading us through your process of creating our chops!

The replays of these sessions are available to Tangle Addicts Club members and those that paid for the class individually. Click HERE if you would like to purchase the class replays or contact me (Heather@tangleaddicts.com). A note about my class replays. They are done with very little editing. Each class allows for everyone to do what they want, or follow along with what I’m doing, or what Mom is doing. You can see this in the results below. We share ideas and techniques as we go, and you never know when an amazing idea will present itself. That is the brilliance of Zentangle®

Steampunkapolooza! | 7-22-2025 TangleAddicts Class Recap

On these sessions we played with the genre of Steampunk. What is Steampunk? It’s a mashup of futuristic AND retro. It’s inspired by fashions of the Victoria Era in England (1837-1901, The Belle Epoque in France (1871-1914) and the Civil War era in the United States (1861-1865). Also inspired by the works of H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, and more. Think of the Nautilus in 20,000 Leagues under the sea. The first known use of the term steampunk is attributed to author Kevin Jeter in his 1987 letter to Locus Magazine. The rest of this story and more is at this link.

The replays of these sessions are available to Tangle Addicts Club members and those that paid for the class individually. Click HERE if you would like to purchase the class replays or contact me (Heather@tangleaddicts.com).
