National Tile Day | February 23

One of the many celebrations listed on the National Day Calendar, is National Tile day. On their website they list five ways to celebrate it. I’m adding a sixth. Quoting from their site:

  1. Take time to appreciate the quality craftsmanship of the tile work around you.
  2. If a remodel or building is in your future, consider tile in your design. Tile offers not only texture but color and warmth too.
  3. Share your experience with tile design and its versatility indoors and out. What are your favorite styles and latest innovations in tile?
  4. Explore tile designs for your home or business.
  5. Share your story or image showing why you choose tile with #NationalTileDay on Instagram and Twitter.

6. Create a tile, using tile inspired tangles! (Of course, right?!) There are many tile inspired tangles to choose from. Here are some tangle suggestions from our favorite tangle creator and fellow TangleAddict, Debbi Minero to get started.

oooooooo and maybe… 7. Be so inspired by the tile work you find that you deconstruct it and create a new tangle to share!

Enjoy! Please share your creations on our TangleAddicts Facebook Group #TangleAddicts #NationalTileDay.

What will you create?

January 2025 Razzama-Tanga Recap

We call this the quintessential or ultimate in Zentangle Practice. Razzama-Tanga is a TangleAddicts Subscription Club Member exclusive event on the first Tuesday of each month. Click HERE for information on joining.

Picking from a grouping of 20 daily tangles, we roll the die and see what comes up. Absolutely no planning can happen this way. Everyone is working on the tile and with the string of their choosing – so it’s a complete surprise to see how everyone’s turns out. We prove that it doesn’t matter what tangles you use – you can create something amazing by following the Zentangle Method!

Merry Christmas & Happy Hanukkah!

Thank you all for being flexible with the changing of days on our Tangling schedule! It’s all because of my playing schedule, and as so many have asked, Here are some links:

Here is the PM edition of TangleTime where we focused on the tangle, Joy by Debbi Minero AND I brought you all along to my performance to let you listen in while you tangle. I explain things at the beginning of the video. It was a fun experiment. Thank you, Aly for taking care of things on that session!

Tonight, Remember there is no PM Snowflake session, we did that yesterday. Tonight, I will be at the link below. (I will add a link if they stream the 11pm service too.)

See you on the 26th for regular Tangle Time, and then I am planning something for New Years Eve – stay tuned!
I hope you all have a blessed Christmas and Hanukkah!!

Huggins | (Revisiting) Course correction edition.

Huggins was created by Zentangle®.

In the spirit of “No Mistakes”, this post presenting Huggins as Day 10 of January 2023 Tangles, is being course corrected as a Huggins recap. LOL Thank you, Roberta for pointing out that it was actually Day 7 in the original 100 Day Project. To keep with my personal mission to present a different tangle each day until I run out of tangles, or I’m not able to do this anymore, I present Snowflake 6 as Day 10 of January 2023 Tangles.

My version of the step-outs are HERE. More inspiration from the creator of the tangle is over HERE.

Some tanglers like to challenge themselves to do a tangle a day and collect them by the month. There are many ways to do this. If you would like to create one large piece from this monthly collection, HERE are some neat template ideas. You can probably enlarge them and print them OR trace them, OR maybe it sparks another idea!

Join us for more fun on our Private Facebook Group (make sure to answer the questions). If you haven’t joined us online for Live fun with Tangling. Join us for Tangle Time!

Have fun and happy tangling!!!
