Today’s Inktober prompt is the Bijouism – Create

No. 8: Bijou says: “Wherever I go, I leave a line. I can’t NOT create. Why not create something beautiful with my every movement?”

This tangle offers so many opportunities to create. Decorating each section, putting several of these together… Endless ways to create! Let yourself go and have fun!

Today’s Inktober prompt is the Bijouism – Take Another Look.

Not having heard from Bijou on this Bijouism, I can take this a couple ways. First, is what I had to do on today’s tangle – to take another look at the step out. Many looks, actually, but the one after I thought I had it, brought more clarity. Second way I can take this, is sometimes, taking another look at your work can also bring clarity. I like to not look at it for a bit, and come back to it later. It will either show me what I need to do, or that it’s just fine – even better than I thought. What do you see when you take another look?

As I was looking through Bijou’s brilliant Bijouisms, this one jumped out at me. I wasn’t necessarily happy with my S’s but told myself to keep going. Embrace the process and trust it’s going to be fine – and it was! Maybe you will share a story of when you chose to Embrace, not Erase.

Trust your instincts on those open spaces to fill!

Today’s Inktober prompt is the Bijouism – Comfort

No. 3: I find the very idea of “everything Zentangle” is . . . is a comfort to me, to my art and to my life in general. I am comforted in the fact that I no longer put myself down. Je suis un artiste, non? This has made me happy. And I use my Zentangle creations to make others happy: as gifts, surprises or RAZ’s (Random Acts of Zentangle) . . . so I guess you could say I comfort myself and I can also comfort others, without effort, time or anxiety. Ahh . . . Comfort and joy.
