Waybop is such a fun tangle! To be able to draw interlocking rings, is amazing. We use one stroke, the curved line, and two techniques, auraing and hollibaugh. The results are fantastic!
Because I am not an artist, I found that I needed to add one step before the official Zentangle® stepout starts – I have to start out with very light dots before the seeds. If you remember Munchin, it’s like that except that the dots are specifically placed versus randomly placed. Click here for my stepout. Be on the lookout for a video from me on this. Sometimes it helps to talk through it.
Here are the screen shots from the two sessions.
Here are some close up shots from those who emailed me their work. If you were on one of the calls, I would LOVE to share what you have done. Pop me an email with it and I will add it to this gallery! Click on any picture to enlarge. (Loving the variations!!)
Thanks to everyone that joined in on the fun!!! For some extra inspiration, check out the Zentangle Blog where Waybop was introduced. Also, click here, for an additional blog post where they show how to make Hearty Waybop. I will add pictures as I receive them, check back by clicking the title of the blog so you see it from the site. Also, for those that have supported these free classes directly or by purchasing Zentangle products from my store, THANK YOU!
